About Us

Improving women's health through innovation and education

Our Mission

Our mission

To enhance women's quality of life by empowering primary healthcare professionals with the knowledge and resources needed to deliver exceptional care.

Our objectives

  1. Provide high-quality, practical, and evidence-based education to healthcare clinicians across the entire primary care team.
  2. Support the development of evidence-based practices in primary care by translating current research into practical resources and sharing best practices in women’s health.
  3. Ensure we include underserved populations, particularly ethnic minorities and those in deprived or marginalised areas, to address health inequalities.
  4. Provide opportunities for peer support, networking, and the exchange of views between our members.
  5. Contribute to national and local discussions, ensuring that the experiences and views of primary care clinicians are considered in shaping women’s health policy and practices.

Equality, diversity and inclusion statement

The Primary Care Women’s Health Society (PCWHS) is committed to celebrating our diverse membership and patient populations and aims to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our work. PCWHS encourages people from different professional and cultural backgrounds to join the society and we positively seek inclusivity in our membership as we believe that this enriches everyone’s experience of being a member of the PCWHS. Our commitment to inclusion and diversity aims to create a culture where everyone is welcome.
