The Primary Care Women’s Health Society (PCWHS) intends to collaborate with organisations who have an interest in improving standards in women’s health. These organisations can include societies, charities, commercial companies and the government. Before initiating a collaboration the PCWHS board will ensure that it will act in the best interest of its members and the public.
The funding generated by membership is not always sufficient to provide the resources needed to maximise education on women’s health and therefore the financial contribution made by corporate sponsors supports the yearly educational programme to be accessible to all its members. However, the PCWHS has a policy of being transparent regarding funding received from the pharmaceutical industry.
The PCWHS have a thorough regulation process where they ensure that the forum is not unfairly influenced by any commercial company, this is because the forum understands how their dependence on commercial funding can be seen as a negative factor. Members of the board work separately from the corporate sponsors and are responsible for ensuring that the PCWHS follows the correct procedures.
The PCWHS does not receive any funding to operate. Where we receive direct funding for projects or events, it will be clearly disclosed and stated on the relevant resources or event pages.
