Author: Dr Anne Connolly, Amanda Britton, James Woolgar, Dr Aamena Salar & Lesley Wylde

The Primary Care Women’s Health Society (PCWHS) has developed a range of resources for anyone interested in finding out more about how to create a women’s health hub in their locality.

This recording of the live launch webinar introduces the PCWHS women's health hub toolkit, including:

  • Why the health hub model was designed
  • What is the women’s health hub model?
  • Examples of successful hub development

Hosted by the PCWHS Dr Anne Connolly MBE, the webinar also features a breakdown of the sections of the Toolkit:

  • Step 1: Situation - Mapping local provision; identifying need
  • Step 2: Solution – Personalising the project plan; financial viablility & planning; identifying and training a sustainable workforce
  • Step 3: Success – Evaluating performance; measuring success

The Toolkit has been created by women's health experts who understand the challenges of providing joined-up, accessible women’s healthcare in primary care settings. The Toolkit supports commissioners and providers in developing a women's health hub model designed to tackle fragmentation of services and meet the needs of the local population, ultimately improving patient access and outcomes.

A Q&A session rounds up the webinar, with answers from the expert panel which includes Dr Anne Connolly, Dr Aamena Salar, Dr Amanda Britton, James Woolgar, and Lesley Wylde.

Listen on demand now and start taking steps to transforming health services for women in your local community.
